The compressor is known as the heart of the system.  It circulates the refrigerant in a closed loop in-between the condenser and the evaporate coil. While the condenser coil is a web of coiled tubes containing refrigerant so that the heat is removed from the refrigerant and it becomes a liquid and the excess heat escapes off outside. The fan is an outdoor component which pulls the air towards the condenser coil for the removal of heat.
